Orangeries –
History of the Orangery
The Victorians were great travellers, and botanists, they explored exotic parts of the world and collected rare and unusual plants, when they returned home they wanted somewhere to display them.
They invented a partially glazed heated room attached to their houses, similar to a greenhouse, but accessible from the home, they would display their precious botanical collections to impress their friends, the Orangery was born.
Nowadays, the use of the Orangery has evolved into an all year round room that can be used for a range of purposes, from Kitchen extensions to Sitting rooms full of light, which are warm the whole year round.
Now you can have a beautiful bespoke Oak framed Orangery designed to fit seamlessly to your Home.
