It all seemed a bit daunting when we first started thinking about extending our home. We had an idea of what we’d like to do but finding the right Oak frame specialist for us wasn’t easy.
The guys from Oak and Home gave us the assurances we were seeking right from the start. A prompt response after we initially contacted them they offered a design and build service that was professional and personal from the outset. Many of the other timber frame companies we spoke to would design and provide the frame but we would have to find a builder to assemble it.
After a home visit giving a detailed talk through the build stages and lengths that they go to to ensure a quality product we knew they were the right company for us. They showed us some stunning renders of what the finished build would look like and discussed all requirements we had.
After site visits to check all ground works they arrived on site with a professional work ethic and an approachable manner that filled us with confidence. Always happy to answer questions and put us at ease over any concerns we had they worked tirelessly to deliver a quality product.

” I am writing to express our sincere appreciation of the care and effort that went into the delivery of our Garden room project completed recently. Every aspect of the project worked out perfectly in the end, despite the complications thrown up by the existing base and walls being both asymmetrical and out – of – square. The fact that the team were able to erect the main frame in less than two days without problems speaks volumes for the care and attention to detail applied during the design phase.
The end result is simply stunning and not only gives the impression of always having been there ( thanks to the reclamied roof tiles) but the sheer solidity of the structure makes it hard to believe that it will not actually last forever; the rest of the house will probably fall down long before this part does!
It was also a pleasure to meet and deal with both Darren and the team. The guys behaved impeccably on site, being both polite and considerate to us and our neighbours throughout. Moreover, they were more than tolerant of a meddling client watching over them most of the time! As a self-confessed perfectionist, I derived great pleasure from the high level craftsmanship on display throughout the build and the oak frame slotting together was a joy to watch.
Finally, I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending your company to anyone else considering an oak solution for their extension, conservatory, garden room or whatever. Please feel free to use photographs and plans of our room in any promotional media for you business.
